Dive Desk’s Water Safety Sessions with Galolhu Pre-School

As part of our commitment to creating safer environments for children in and around the water, Dive Desk has been honored to conduct Water Safety Sessions with Galolhu Pre-School across multiple years. These sessions give young learners the confidence to explore, play, and develop while learning vital safety skills that can protect them in everyday life.

Below is a look back at how this initiative has grown from 2015 to 2023.

2015 – First Steps Toward Water Safety

In 2015, Dive Desk was delighted to partner with Galolhu Madharusa for our very first water safety session with pre-schoolers. We emphasized the importance of starting safety conversations early—teaching children basic skills like the importance of swimming, always wearing a life jacket on a boat, and being aware of their surroundings in aquatic settings.

It was inspiring to see youngsters so eager to learn and participate. We hope our talk brought a lasting positive influence on their behavior and curiosity for the water.

2016 – Building on Success

Continuing the tradition — Dive Desk’s second water safety session with Galolhu Madharusa pre-schoolers in 2016.

The following year, Dive Desk returned for the second year running to continue instilling water safety awareness. By creating consistency and repetition, we helped reinforce the same important messages: safety while swimming, boating, and playing near water.

We applauded the school’s initiative to ensure children could explore beyond the classroom in a safe and informed way.

2018 – Continuing the Conversation

After a short gap, Dive Desk was once again welcomed by Galolhu Madharusa in 2018. By now, the program had become a tradition of sorts, proving that water safety education is an ongoing process—not just a one-time lesson.

Children were as keen as ever to absorb the knowledge, and we were thrilled to see how quickly they grasped the importance of safe practices.

2019 – Fourth Year of Commitment

Fourth year running — Dive Desk continues water safety awareness sessions with Galolhu Madharusa pre-schoolers in 2019.

In 2019, Dive Desk facilitated its fourth year of water safety sessions at Galolhu Madharusa Pre-School. By then, the program had evolved into a recurring highlight for both students and instructors.

Seeing the children’s growing confidence, and knowing we had contributed to their safety awareness, was truly rewarding.

2023 – Renewed Commitment to Water Safety

After a pause, Dive Desk proudly returned in 2023 to continue water safety education with Galolhu Madharusa pre-schoolers.

After the global challenges of recent years, Dive Desk was thrilled to return in 2023 to continue its collaboration with Galolhu Madharusa. This fifth session reinforced that water safety is not just a seasonal or short-term concern—it’s a lifelong habit that must be taught consistently.

The excitement and curiosity of the students reminded us once again why these initiatives matter. From learning the importance of wearing life jackets to practicing safe swimming behaviors, the children showed eagerness to carry forward these lessons into their daily lives.
