Course Details

The PADI Staff Instructor course is the next step for experienced PADI Instructors aiming to advance their professional career. Staff Instructors are qualified to teach the Assistant Instructor course, conduct staff-level IDCs, and gain deeper insight into the PADI system, preparing them for the Master Instructor and Course Director ranks.

🔸Prerequisites: PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) rating, minimum of 100 certified divers, at least two years of teaching experience, current Instructor and EFR certifications

🔸Time: Typically 4–5 days

🔸Benefits: Positions you for higher professional recognition, enhances your teaching and leadership skills

What To Expect

🔸 Assist Course Directors during Instructor Development Courses (IDCs), focusing on evaluation and counselling techniques
🔸 Refresh and refine your teaching practices while gaining deeper insight into the IDC process
🔸 Practice evaluating academic, confined, and open water presentations, with emphasis on scoring criteria and candidate support
🔸 Learn to schedule and market Assistant Instructor courses while reviewing standards for AI and IDC candidates
