On 18 September, the Dive Desk Team had the incredible honor of presenting to the bright and curious students of grades 8, 9, and 10 at Dh. Hulhudheli School. The session focused on career development in diving and marine conservation, offering these young ocean enthusiasts a glimpse into alternative ocean-related career paths.

Led by our esteemed PADI Course Director, Adam Ashraf, the presentation highlighted the critical importance of responsible ocean management during #PADIawareweek. The ocean serves as the lifeline of Dh. Hulhudheli’s small fishing community, providing both nutrition and income. It was inspiring to see the students’ eagerness to learn about ways they can contribute to preserving their natural heritage.

The session began with an introduction to scuba diving, showcasing the beauty and wonder of the underwater world. Students learned about the fragility of marine ecosystems, the threats they face—including pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction—and the actions they can take to protect them.

Lucky draw winners Mishka and Gais selected for PADI Open Water Diver Course with Dive Desk team.
Congratulations to Mishka and Gais, selected for the Open Water Diver course as part of Dive Desk’s youth initiative.

Adam Ashraf shared insights into the wide range of career opportunities in the diving industry, from becoming a Divemaster to pursuing roles in marine research, underwater photography, and environmental conservation. Team member and PADI Instructor Ahmed Mifrah shared his personal journey to becoming an instructor, inspiring students to dream big and pursue their passions fearlessly.

Interactive activities encouraged students to actively participate, ask questions, and reflect on their own experiences. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were evident, and it was clear that the session had opened their minds to the exciting possibilities within the world of scuba diving.

To conclude, the team emphasized the significance of sustainable tourism and responsible diving practices, highlighting how individual choices can positively impact the marine environment. By introducing students to these opportunities, Dive Desk hopes to ignite a lasting passion for scuba diving, marine conservation, and environmental stewardship.

A special congratulations goes to Mishka and Gais, selected to participate in an Open Water Diver course as part of this initiative.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dh. Hulhudheli School and its students for their warm welcome and active engagement. At Dive Desk, we firmly believe in the power of education and mentorship to inspire the next generation of divers and ocean advocates.
