Dive Desk is happy to contribute to the Clean Up event organized by Bank of Maldives at Male' Swimming Track on 24 February 2018. In addition to helping with the ocean cleaup, we helped to segregate the trash and weigh them. In just 4 hours of collection,187kg of trash were amassed, including 492 plastic bottles, 249 aluminum cans and 310 plastic bags.
We encourage all the PADI professionals we train and our divers to connect their passion for ocean adventure with a purpose for marine conservation. We encourage them to take 'fins on' action for the ocean and tackle ocean threats like marine pollution and habitat destruction.
