Dive Desk was delighted to exhibit at the Farukoe Expo, held at National Art Gappery on 9 August 2018. Organized by the Ministry of Education, the event brought together students from all government schools in the Male’ region.

To spark conversations about plastic pollution, we invited visitors to share their thoughts on our interactive “Wall of Awareness.” We were amazed to receive messages from 655 individuals, reflecting the growing concern and commitment to protecting our oceans. One message captured the sentiment perfectly:

“During the time plastic was invented, it was considered a revolution. Now we learn that plastic is doing more harm than good. We have to be better! STOP USING SINGLE-USE PLASTIC!”

The Farukoe Expo aimed to inspire the ‘children of the reef’ to raise their voices for the oceans, encouraging the next generation to take action in protecting marine life and their environment.
