On 15 September 2017, Dive Desk engaged our Divemaster Candidates and Divers in a Dive Against Debris clean-up at Malé West. This initiative reflects our commitment to training PADI professionals and divers who not only love the ocean but also take action to protect it. Through marine conservation efforts like these, we encourage everyone to connect their passion for diving with a greater purpose.

In just three hours, six divers collected 80 kilograms of trash from the seabed. While this achievement highlights the dedication of our team, it also reveals a harsh reality — our oceans, home to nearly 80% of Earth’s living organisms, are increasingly being treated as dumping grounds. Seeing this vital ecosystem polluted is disheartening and a call to action.
