Career Development Center Rating for Maldivian Academy of Diving
In March, the Maldivian Academy of Diving received the prestigious PADI Five Star Career Development Center (CDC) rating, highlighting its dedication to outstanding diving education and professional growth. With two Platinum PADI Course Directors—world-renowned Mark Soworka of Dive-Careers.com and Maldives' most experienced Course Director at PADI Pro development Adam Ashraf—the academy is a premier institution for aspiring dive professionals.
Platinum Rating for Maldivian Academy of Diving
The Maldivian Academy of Diving, inaugurated in February of this year, was honored with the Platinum PADI Professional Development Excellence Award 2024. This accolade recognized Dive Desk's achievements in 2023 after it founded the Academy as a specialized institution for PADI professional development. The Maldivian Academy of Diving stands as the sole Platinum PADI Instructor Development Center in the Maldives and is among just ten in the Europe, Middle-East, and Africa region to receive this distinction, underscoring its exceptional standards in diving education and training.
Platinum Rating for Adam Ashraf
Adam Ashraf, Co-Owner and Managing Director of Dive Desk in Male' and the Maldivian Academy of Diving in Himmafushi, was awarded the Platinum PADI Course Director 2024 rating for his accomplishments in PADI professional development in the previous year. He also earned this frequent trainer award for 2023, marking the second consecutive time he has received this recognition.
Celebrating 20 Years of Dedication
In September, Adam Ashraf received the prestigious 20-Year PADI Membership Award at the remarkable age of 40. This honor signifies that half his life has been dedicated to advancing the diving profession and mentoring the next generation of divers. His passion and leadership remain an inspiration to all in the diving community.
